About
Originally from Manchester in the UK, I have spent the last 25-plus years living in Japan, and over two decades documenting the shifting landscapes of its capital.
Through sometimes raw, and often intimate imagery, my work focuses on the elements of Tokyo that are quietly fading away—from ageing Showa-era scenery and forgotten alleyways, to the resilient locals who inhabit them.
Welcome then to my street photography archive of a city caught between rapid modernisation and disappearing history. Photographs that over the years have featured in major publications like the Guardian, Der Spiegel and Le Monde, along with countless books and magazines.
